In Feast: Food That Celebrates Life, author and Food Network favorite Nigella Lawson shares with us some of her favorite menus for special occasions, holidays, and family get-togethers. Nigella has an unabashed love for food and believes that the meal and who you share it with is the most important ingredient—the recipes themselves are just a means to getting there. For Christmas and Thanksgiving, she offers up some traditional favorites to choose from; Spiced and Super-Juicy Roast Turkey with Cornbread, Cranberry and Orange Stuffing, Bohemian Roast Goose, Pancetta-wrapped Sausages, Maple-roast Parsnips, Perfect Roast Potatoes, and Nonconformist Christmas Pudding.
Feast is packed with over 300 recipes tucked into 22 menu ideas organized loosely by type of holiday. She covers the spectrum nicely from ultra casual (Kitchen Feasts, Kiddiefeast, Cut-Out Cookies), to party-perfect (Georgian Feast, Chocolate Cake Hall of Fame, Festival of Lights, Venetian Feast), along with a good helping of fun and real-life food photos.
As always, the writing is personal, friendly, engaging, and informative but never tedious. We love her personal notes that pop up such as a her cookie cutter collection, or her favorites from the Texas Department of Corrections requests for “last meals” added for sheer entertainment value. Feast is full of great excuses and ideas for bringing together your own family and friends to celebrate. Her approach is casual yet reliable and her holiday traditions will quickly become your own with this wonderful cookbook.

I LOVE Nigella! LOL
I learned a lot from the recipes of Nigella Feast on Discovery’s Travel & Living shows.
Even my 5 year old son Ajper Genesis is now watching the show with me hoping to get me to bake the yummy chocolate cakes, muffins, brownies and everything about chocolate.
May i request for email copies of the chocolate recipes featured on the show?
Please mention my son’s name next time on your show. I know he will be thrilled and joyful!
Thanks for coming up a candid, crisp and very informative cooking show which makes cooking so easy and hassle-free. Look what it did to my son Ajper!
God bless your show & Nigella herself.
